This southern piece is made out of walnut.  It has two front drawers with two large fielded cupboards underneath, all with robustly turned  wooden handles.  The cupboards are fitted with L-shaped wrought-iron hinges.  Just below the scalloped cornice, wooden pegs protrude from a narrow band, offering a bit of extra storage for cups and beakers.  The dresser has three additional shelves which, today, are used for pewter plates and copper molds.
