Planned Giving

Planned Giving can be cash, stocks and securities, trusts, bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, real estate or life insurance. Your financial advisor can assist you in designing a plan that may provide income for life, benefits for the Hammond-Harwood House, and is most appropriate for your financial situation.

Hammond-Harwood House is a non-profit organization and receives no ongoing state or federal support for operations. We depend on philanthropic bequests and contributions to continue our mission to preserve, for public education and enjoyment, the architecturally significant Hammond-Harwood House museum and its collection of fine and decorative arts.

Gifts of this type are generally directed towards endowment and last in perpetuity benefiting present and future generations. Your bequest to the Hammond-Harwood House is exempt from state and federal taxes. If you contribute IRA or other retirement funds, your bequest is free of income tax.
